Formed in 1983, Houston Business Group on Health is a non-profit membership association of area employers sharing their experiences and solutions with health care delivery and cost containment. Local employers play an active and enthusiastic role in meeting the coalitions goals:

To work with health care providers to promote cost-effective delivery of medical care

To promote the development of cost-effective alternatives to existing medical services

To develop effective programs of health promotion and disease prevention in the work place
